Changing your grout color is a simple, cost effective way to spruce up your bathroom floor.

  1. Clean the tile and grout thoroughly. This means using a good tile cleaner and even clean the floor a couple of time to get a deeper and more complete tile cleaning.

  2. After the floor has been cleaned and rinsed, dry it. For best results, you may want to wait a few hours or even a whole day before proceeding to the next step. This will help to ensure the the tile is completely dry.

  3. Using a grout colorant (grout paint) or a grout pen, paint the grout carefully, starting in the corners and working you way back to the doorway. After you are finished, it is a good idea to apply a second coat. You will want to make sure that you use a thin brush. Often, you will also want to use a small contain or even the lid of the paint can as you painting easel. Remember that you are not painting a very large area. A little bit of grout paint will go a very long way. These will also help to seal the porous grout surface. You will wan to wait 3 to 4 hours before applying the second coat to the floor. After applying the second coat, you still want to wait a couple of hours before walking across it and up to 24 hour before assuming regular use of it again.
